2020 Iowa-Nebraska CLE Season Pass: $69

Complete Your Entire Iowa or Nebraska CLE Requirement for $69*

(*-Additional $10 charge applies for Nebraska.)

Because of the COVID-19 national emergency, both the Iowa and Nebraska Supreme Courts have relaxed CLE requirements for 2020. Both states have removed limitations on on-demand distance learning programs. Attorneys in Iowa and Nebraska can now complete all of their CLE credits with such programs. This year, it is not necessary to attend live programs, or even attend scheduled webcasts. You can take online courses at any time that is convenient for you.

For $69, I am offering two programs that will satisfy the entire CLE requirement for Iowa and Nebraska attorneys, including the ethics requirement. (Since Nebraska requires me to pay an additional $1 per credit when I report your attendance, I will bill you for this amount after I report. Therefore, Nebraska attorneys will pay up to an additional $10.)

In Nebraska, the Supreme Court has announced: "In response to the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, the Nebraska Supreme Court has determined it necessary to allow all 10 required credits to be obtained without attending live education (regular/traditional class type) for 2020. As attorneys file annual reports for 2020 in December, reports that have no live education will be accepted when they contain at least 10 total credits including 2 that qualify as professional responsibility/ethics."

The Iowa Supreme Court, in a March 16 order, lifted the six-hour cap on unmoderated CLE. This is in effect until further order of the court. The effect of this is that Iowa attorneys may complete their entire 15-hour CLE requirement for 2020 with on-demand programs. This includes the 3-credit ethics requirement, which must be completed by December 31, 2021. The temporary suspension of the Iowa rules has no definite end date. Therefore, while it is probably unlikely, it is possible that this rule suspension will be lifted prior to December 31. Therefore, it is in the best interest of Iowa attorneys to complete their 2020 CLE requirements as soon as possible, while the relaxed rules are still in effect.

To assist Iowa and Nebraska attorneys, I am making it possible for you to finish all of your required credits for only $69. (If you are impacted by COVID-19 and unable to pay for your CLE, please contact me, and I will allow you to take as many programs as necessary at no cost.) Nebraska attorneys must take ten credits, including two credits of ethics. Iowa attorneys must take fifteen credits. Even though ethics is not required this year in Iowa, you can take it now, since you will need to report ethics in 2021. You can complete this requirement will the following two programs: For this price, I will provide the following:
