Hollis John Larson v. Lucinda Jesson, Commissioner of Human Services. MN civil commitment
Hollis John Larson was convicted of sexual assault and served a 16 year prison sentence. In 2008, he was indeterminately committed as a sexually dangerous person. He subsequently requested a provisional discharge, which was denied. In 2013, a judicial appeal panel reviewed his case and also denied the request. The Minnesota Court of Appeals affirmed that decision.
