Richard Clem Continuing Legal Education will be presenting a live 3-credit CLE in Duluth on May 20. In addition, all attendees may take, at no additional charge, a 2-credit elimination of bias on-demand program. The fee for both program is only $69. This program completely satisfies the ethics and elimination of bias requirement for the reporting cycle for Minnesota and Wisconsin attorneys

- Minnesota: Live program, 3.0 credits, including 3.0 ethics credits, approved. Minnesota Event Code 219156.
- Wisconsin: Live program, 3.5 credits, including 3.5 ethics and professional responsibility credits, approved.
- Iowa: 3.0 credits, including 3.0 ethics credits, applied for upon request.
- Other States: My programs are routinely approved for CLE credit in most mandatory CLE states. Please contact me if you need assistance applying for credit.
In addition, the on-demand program has been approved for 2.0 Minnesota Elimination of Bias credits. Minnesota Event Code 193087. The elimination of bias program may be taken any time until June 30.
Program Description
Conflicts of Interest 2016. Live lecture presented by Richard Clem. This will be an in-depth look at the conflict of interest rules governing lawyers in Minnesota and other states. It will cover Rule 1.7 of the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct, as well as related rules. Subjects addressed include: Joint representations in general; driver and passenger; co-defendants in criminal cases; insured and insurer; organization and individuals within organization; buyer and seller; testator and beneficiary; closely related entitites; business transactions between clients; consent to conflicts; "hot potato" doctrine; and more. 180 Minutes.
In addition, all attendees may take, at no additional charge, the on-demand elimination of bias program. The program description for that program is available at this link. You may take the elimination of bias program at any time before June 30 (either before or after the Duluth program).

About the Speaker
The program will be presented by Richard P. Clem, an attorney and continuing legal education (CLE) provider in Minnesota. He has been
in private practice in the Twin Cities for over 25 years. He has a J.D., cum laude, from Hamline
University School of Law in St. Paul and a B.A. in History from the University of Minnesota. His reported
