Ethics Refresher 2020. Presented by Richard Clem. This will be a comprehensive review of the Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and other states. Many lawyers review the Rules in their entirety only once, and that is before they take the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam in law school. But the rules change over the years and decades, and some of the finer points might be forgotten. Therefore, this course will serve as a useful refresher for the practitioner to avoid ethical pitfalls. Originally presented April 22, 2020. 180 minutes (two parts).
This course has an interactive component in that the course presenter is available by telephone or e-mail for any questions or comments regarding the substantive content of the course. The course presenter may be contacted by telephone at 612-378-7751 or e-mail at clem.law@usa.net. Questions are usually answered within 24 hours. During the course, all attendees must make a note of the code numbers given during the program and submit them by e-mail to the course sponsor. The sponsor provides a certificate of attendance only upon recipt of the code numbers.
