July-August 2019 Conference Call CLE

I'm offering the following conference call CLE programs in July and August 2019. This is a convenient way to satisfy your CLE requirements, for $25 per credit. Programs on this page are offered for Minnesota credit, but credit in other states is also available. Upon registration, you will be given a telephone number and access code. At the time of the program, you simply call in, enter the access code, and listen to the program. You can submit live questions during the program.

Note: Elimination of Bias programs can be found at this link. Minnesota attorneys may also earn their ethics and bias credits with "on-demand" programs. My five-credit ethics-bias program is approved for Minnesota credit, and costs only $69. For details, please visit this link.

All programs are offered for Minnesota credit. I try to process registrations as quickly as possible. Please check your e-mail shortly before the program begins for call-in instructions. If you have technical difficulties during the program, please call my cell phone, 651-285-5474.

Course Schedule

The programs follow these schedules. All times are Central Standard Time:

Ten Minutes Before Start Time Listed Below: Phone line opens, opening remarks
Start Time Listed Below: Ethics (1 hour)
One Hour After Start Time Listed Below Closing Remarks

All programs begin promptly at the time shown below. The phone line will be open approximately five minutes prior to the times shown. Please call in approximately five minutes prior to the start time so that attendance and opening remarks can be taken care of prior to the start of the program. All programs are live lectures.

Note regarding Saturday programs: Saturday programs will take place only if needed. Times might vary, but if you need the credits today, I'll do the program, even if it's for only one attorney. If you have not used your 15 on-demand credits, then I recommend my on demand program. I'll be answering my phone and checking my e-mail until midnight.

Course Description

Ethics Refresher 2019 Live lecture presented by Richard Clem. This will be a comprehensive review of the Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and other states. Many lawyers review the Rules in their entirety only once, and that is before they take the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam in law school. But the rules change over the years and decades, and some of the finer points might be forgotten. Therefore, this course will serve as a useful refresher for the practitioner to avoid ethical pitfalls.

One hour of the ethics program is presented each day. You can take the three parts in any order.

The course materials are available at the following link:
